# Health Games

**Biometric-Driven AR Games for Smartglasses**

Health Games is an early-concept project by OHI Studio. It connects your smartwatch to your smartglasses via Bluetooth and turns your real-time health data — heart rate, steps, calories burned, stress HRV, and blood oxygen — into a series of lightweight ambient AR games that run alongside your everyday activity.

## Overview

Your health data is already being collected. Every walk, every heartbeat, every calorie — your watch tracks it in real time. Health Games is the layer that makes all of that data playable.

Through a Bluetooth bridge between your smartwatch and smartglasses, your biometrics become live game inputs. A transparent HUD floats at the edge of your field of view, showing your current stats. The games react to you: not to button presses or swipes, but to how your body is actually performing in the world.

The gameplay is deliberately lightweight. You don't stop what you're doing to play — Health Games runs alongside your day. Walk your dog and unlock new territory on a procedurally generated map. Hit a step milestone and earn in-game currency. Push your heart rate into a target zone and trigger a timed challenge. Slow your breathing to enter a focus state that activates special in-game abilities.

- **Body as Controller** — Your smartwatch biometrics are the primary input; no gestures, taps, or voice commands required
- **Walk-to-Unlock Exploration** — Step count and distance unlock map territory in real time
- **Heart Rate Mechanics** — Target heart rate zones trigger power-ups, bonuses, and timed challenges
- **HRV Focus States** — Lower stress HRV activates focus-mode abilities, rewarding calm and recovery
- **Ambient Overlay** — A glassmorphic biometric HUD sits at the periphery of your view; unobtrusive, always present
- **Bluetooth Bridge** — Designed to work with any modern Wear OS or Apple Watch device
- **Passive Play** — The game plays alongside you; you are not pausing your life to engage

## Platform

Designed for lightweight smartglasses with Bluetooth capability. Initial target devices include Meta Ray-Bans and Snap Spectacles. Compatible with any smartwatch running Wear OS or watchOS.

## Status

Early concept. We are exploring input models, game mechanics, and the right balance of passive observation versus active prompts. We are looking for partners and collaborators in digital health, wearable hardware, and ambient computing.

## About the Concept

Health Games comes from a simple observation: people who exercise regularly are already playing a kind of game — tracking metrics, hitting targets, improving numbers. But that game is entirely invisible, locked inside an app on their wrist. We want to bring it into the world, layered transparently over reality, turning everyday movement into a persistent ambient experience.

Health Games is a concept by OHI Studio, a UK-based AR app studio specialising in playful applications for smartglasses and wearables. OHI Studio builds across the full production process in-house, with support from Snap, Meta, and ElevenLabs.
